One and Two and Switch!

Hey Haute Moms!
The subject for today's chat is exercise. The first thing I think of when picturing exercise is that episode of Martin when he took over the instruction of Gina's fitness class. He had them worn out with his aerobic shenanigans. I got a workout from the belly laughs. He is so crazy!

The thought of working out makes me tired even though I know I'm supposed to. I've read countless times that exercise during pregnancy will reduce achiness, boost energy, and keep you healthy. But how can I get those benefits if I'm too tired to get off my butt?

I bought two exercise DVDs and they are gathering dust. I have to walk a couple blocks from the parking lot to my building and have four flights of stairs in my house, but I still feel like I need to do more. The other day I let a three year old wear me out! But as we were bending, stretching, and running I felt good and full of energy. So I decided I wanted to hold on to that feeling without causing more soreness. I've been walking more and made use of Youtube. Youtube has got a lot of videos on prenatal yoga. I love the peaceful feeling and the stretches feel nice.

I've enlisted my sweety in my exercise quest. He has even offered to walk with me! I'm such a lucky girl. If you can find a partner in crime to work out with, they can be great motivators.

Before I was preparing for motherhood, I was on a self discovery and self esteem boosting mission. I lost weight and began to exercise more. My favorite form of exercise was exotic fitness. I felt sexy and confident. Now that I've got extra curves I thought that that form of exercise was best left for after my little one arrives. But thanks to the invention of facebook, I saw a classmate of mine teaching an exotic fitness class while pregnant! Go girl! So if you feel like learning a seductive move or two and want a fun work out, google local exotic fitness gyms.

So get off your newly round rump and break a sweat in some cute work out apparel! Can't wait till our next chat.
