We Wear the Mask

Hello Beauties! Today's topic is skin care. I don't know about you but since my pregnancy, I've had a roller coaster of skin conditions. I broke out with ugly red pimples, then my skin was as dry as the Sahara, and faint redness is in the middle of my forehead. With all of the information of being careful of what skin products you use it's kind of hard to find what will do the job and be safe. I think I've found a great combination to keep my skin looking healthy.

The first thing to understand is that its not just products that keep your skin glowing, its what you put in your body and what you put your body through. As we already know water is essential to pregnancy, but its also the cornerstone of any skin care regimen. I try my best to only drink water while at work and allow myself two drinks other than water a day. Also sleep. I'm finding this more and more challenging as its hard to get comfortable. I do however take any opportunity I can to nap and try to unwind earlier so I'll be sleep earlier.

Next I assessed what my skin needed. I monitored when it was oily or dry and when I have break outs.Then I was able to create a skin care cocktail that I like. I use Mark by Avon and Mary Kay.The product descriptions are listed below. I push myself to not go to bed with make-up on and use a mask at least twice a week. I also wash my face twice at night to ensure that all of the make-up is off of my skin. On the days I apply a mask, I'll wash my face before or during my shower and apply the mask immediately after. I'll continue with my bathing routine and leave it on for at least 10-12min.

Moisturize and protect. Invest in a moisturizer for the day and night. Your day moisturizer should have sunscreen. Also protect yourself from germs. I don't wash my face with a wash cloth as it can grow germs from the moisture. I use cotton rounds instead.
